Digital origin education program.
What is DOEP?
The Digital Origin Education Program (DOEP) is an online course geared towards coffee producing-country actors interested in learning more about how the use of digital technologies can help them capture market opportunities and maximize impact for their business.
Over the course of six weeks, participants are guided through a comprehensive review and analysis of how to strategically implement coffee digitalization projects through a dynamic combination of lectures and practical exercises. At the end of the six weeks, the program continues for eight weeks with individual virtual follow-up calls for the development of the final project. DOEP allows origin participants to assess their digital readiness, tailor digital tools and plans to their needs/current level of digital maturity, and fully position themselves for digital transformation.
At the end of the program, participants will have all the tools they need to independently work towards developing and implementing their own digital project.
Our facilitator.
Hubert Peri is the facilitator and creator of DOEP.
Economist with a master's degree in International Development and founder of TheFarmerbox. He has more than 15 years of experience working with the public-private and development sector creating integrated and relevant ICT solutions. He focuses on strategic data management and business intelligence in the agricultural sector in Latin America and Africa, also developing mobile solutions and data-driven landscape platforms. He works as an international innovation and technology consultant for ILO and UNDP initiatives.
The modules.
The format.
DOEP is carried out fully online and is structured on a fourteen-week structure, bringing together from eight to ten participating organizations in each cohort. At the end of the six weeks, two months of individual support will follow.
Each week includes:
A live session with an expert lecturer
Practical exercises
Group discussions
At the end of the program, each participant will complete the development of a roadmap to incorporate digital tools to their business with personalized and individual support from our trainers.
